Here is the problem with your write up- you assume the premise that Peter Schiff is a "top leading economist" but his credentials point simply to a man who has a BS from Berkley and uses fear to create chaos - and as his main source of income being investing I would assume he may be simply trying to move markets to his trades.

Economies are simply a promise we all make to each other- when law and that social contract is removed chaos begins and the wealthy cash in more equity.
