I feel your irritation. The world is unfair, violent and unbalanced. Keep pushing that rock up the hill, not because it will get you anywhere because it will crush you if you dont.

I have been very lucky to travel to many parts of the world in my life. The constant complaint I heard about Americans in most of the countries.... and I paraphrase...

"Americans wake up expecting their day to be sunny and bright full of opportunity, when we (add the country) wake up we know the day is going to be difficult, we look for the moments in the day that make us smile. That perfect cup of coffee, when our child kisses us etc... Americans are always looking for luxury at the expense of others"

Take those small moments and enjoy them, even the hard ones that is the true meaning of life and it will never be any different.
