I know you are an optimist for Democracy but after spending time reading; Arendt, Dalio, Chomsky and watching the GOP govern it is clear the path chosen by humans is one of power and profit - the idol will be served and corruption and lack of empathy are virtuous in that construct. We can go another way but that would require an gobal disaster - unfortunately people like the orange clown will get first shot at the world order after a GD.
