I would point my argument to the bill of rights and constitution as a supporting citation in my claim of America being the most just nation in history; at least in ideal and process.

Reality always falls short of any ideals we humans aspire to be. On point is the LBGTQ community, the horrors of that struggle is without argument one of the failures and successes of Americas evolution. My own struggle as a Chicano was mentally challenging but I was very lucky to be part of a strong community that protected its children.

I have lived in Europe and traveled to many countries and each has as you say pros and cons- I still think our judicial system when not influenced by politics, religion or corruption has more redress triggers and ability to get to the truth and serve a balanced outcome - over other countries. The bill of rights is IMHO the strongest proof of my argument.

The clock is ticking though on those rights because the movements of the ignorant are once more being hijacked by those would would be tyrannical.
