Improve the News
If there was only a way to improve the news
I yearn for the day when I can go to an app on my phone and get both sides of a news story or even four sides. Then see the citations and opinions on the articles from authentic, established sources. Take it all in, but that is just me.
It would even be a better experience if a filter on that app provided an honest discourse and debate, and I could read to my heart’s content until I felt satisfied enough to move on.
I am fairly fluid in my position most of the time. I understand that I am just another cog puppet in the audience of these powerful media players, that I have very little say in the discourse. All I can do is vote, write and produce music- that is all I have in my bandwidth. This means I must disseminate what is fed to me and hopefully do it with critical attention.
A resource or application like I described above would be quite helpful for me. It would help me see any errors in my thinking, which I am quick to mention happens every day. I am dedicated to facts and the truth but finding the time to research every news story can wear down even the best of us.
