Your writing makes Another argument for end of life choices such as euthanasia.

My father is now in an assisted living facility he hates everything about it but knows he needs to be there. He is just waiting for the end. He wont do anything no matter what I or the facility try. He just watches TV and eats.

He says “ I have lived a great life, I am done”

He has asked me to help him leave- I tell him our world doesn’t allow this kindness and apologize.

It breaks my heart.
