Putin, from a historical position, outplayed the world - brilliantly. Let us not forget the NRA in all of this -Russia a country that does not allow its people to own guns en masse and without serious scrutiny- gave the NRA millions and had a spy gathering kompromat from as many high placed leaders as she could. Putin has the goods on our whole leadership I would wager even Democrats. I fear that it is basically over, World War , the West has already lost- our citizen's hate and despise each other. I am glad I am old. I hope I see the day when Putin is held accountable for his crimes.
