This is a tactic used to remove less than productive employees- it works. The ones doing the least usually want the most. When they don't get it they move on. No one is ever happy working for others there is always a better deal somewhere. The monkey that gets the most bananas is the one that knows their path to success stays the course for X years OR the one that takes an educated risk and goes for it.
