Right there, that’s the difference: Poor people — truly poor, broke, safety net-less people — have nothing (or very little) to lose, which gives them all the more resolve, ammunition, and creative resourcefulness to do whatever it takes to be successful. They don’t care if it takes 20 cold calls or 220 cold calls; they’ll do it. They don’t care if other people think they’ll fail, since they’re too busy focusing on their own survival to entertain an outsider’s judgment.

This is exactly how I succeeded- I had nothing to lose so I went for it- working from 6am till… whenever it got done or I fell asleep because my eyes wouldnt stay open.
