Well Alright, Alright, We’re Going to be Alright
A simple Ukelele Pop Song, anyone can sing along to
I really can’t think of any better song we have produced that could be the perfect choice as our first entry in this new blog. It occurs to me that all songs have a story, and most stories have a song. Our entries in this blog will be a small window of our process. We won’t attempt to explain what you should feel; if anything, we will offer an authentic moment or two that may connect or provide curiosity.
Off we go; MUSIC LINKS at the bottom
“Well Alright” (we’re going be alright) was written while sitting in the courtyard of Bob Marley’s house in Kingston. The exact details of that day are personal but let it be known that we were inspired. The lyrical melody was created on that day. At every party since then, attended within our tribe, where “music” became the focus, and passing around the guitar was the norm. “Well Alright” had a healing effect. We hope it has that effect on you.
When it all feels dark and cloudy in your world remember, it will be alright.
Lyrics-written by Paul Ramos, and Bigga Bigga P
I heard there was a beautiful song that Marley played, so we sang along
I heard there was a beautiful song that Marley sang, so we played along
Well alright, well alright, it’s gonna be alright, yeah
Well alright, well alright, it’s gonna be alright
She needed the truth and only the truth, a black-skinned beauty on a Brooklyn roof. She needed the truth, and she needed the proof — a black-skinned beauty on a L.A roof
Well alright, well alright, we’re gonna be alright
Well alright, well alright, we’re gonna be alright
She sat you down in a hellshire chair, she stroked your hand, and then she tied your hair. She sat you down in a hellshire chair, she spoke her truth before she tied your hair
Well Alright, Well Alright, it’s gonna be alright, hey hey
Well alright, well alright, it’s gonna be alright
They broke our trust till we had enough, despite their mess we really tried our best
They broke our trust, our hand was forced, in the bed they made — we couldn’t get no rest
Well alright, well alright, we’re gonna be alright, hey hey
Well alright, well alright, we’re gonna be alright
So, It’s not enough, and it’s not our best, the rules they made — put us — to the test
and, It’s not enough, it’s not our best, no more looking down- no more — second-guessed
Well alright, well alright, we’re gonna be alright, hey hey
Well alright, well alright, we’re gonna be alright
I reach for the sky, and I sing this song — when it all goes wrong- I said I reach for the sky. So, I reach for the sky when it all goes wrong, I said I reach for this song, and you can sing along.
Well alright, well alright, we’re gonna be alright, hey hey
Well alright, well alright, we’re gonna be alright — hey
We’re gonna be alright, we’re gonna be alright, Hallelujah.
We’re gonna be alright, I said
Be Alright, I said, Be Alright, Were gonna be alright
Hallelujah — Hallelujah , I said, I said
I SAID were gonna BE Alright
Be Alright, I said, Be Alright, Hallelujah.
We have produced three versions of this song; A young gun out of Nashville named Stash, a topline seasoned vocalist from Europe, called Nikotrip, and finally Stephanie Rosada, with Claire Virginia adding angelic background vocals. It would be a gift if you would tell us your favorite, of course, if the song connects with you.
All three (3)versions have been released on SoundCloud and are being released on the major streaming platforms soon. A video is in the planning stages, as well as access to downloads. We will update this blog as we go.
