I had a heated discussion with a Tenured Head of the Economics Departmant at a well known eastern Unversity- I told him economics as a reliable source of data to determine investments and strength of a nation is at best story telling. Economics as a discipline is simply something for homo sapeins to spend time on to build on and or destroy a narrative during world cycles.

He counter with the following- "exactly right BUT humans only survive by the stories they believe it is all illusionary to maintain a social contract, to maintain a society of" ..... wait for it ..... "caste"

Homosapiens will either evolve outvof capitalism or this iteration of humans is doomed- I think doomed is lore likely.
